Barnes Jan
2 1997 John Barnes is listed on the 1860 census of Johnson County,
AR with the family of N.M. Wood. His age was listed as 22 making his date
of birth about 1838. I believe that this John Barnes may be my gggrandfather.
I have no information on John Barnes regarding who his parents were. John
C. Barnes married Nancy jane Ketcherside on Jan. 18, 1861 in Johnson County.
They had a son names Wesley Edward Barnes born Dec. 1865 in Springfield,
MO. Hope to hear from a Barnes researcher!
Blackard Jan
2 1997 Need documentation for military service for Irvin
Hence Blackard, born 22 Jan 1832, Person Co., NC, married Lavinia Jane
Johnson, 21 Sep 1854. Irvin H. Blackard thought to have participated
in Battle of Wilson Creek/oal Hills and to have died 10 Aug 1861. Handwritten
transcription of military discharge from Clint Blackard, deceased, gives
military unit as Co. 26 Third Arkansas Infantry. No documentation for this
information. No information has been found for Co.26. Need death date confirmation
and burial place for Irvin Hence Blackard. Probate file from Johnson
County, AR, missing.

2 1997 Looking for any information on William L. Clark. The
info that I have so far is he was born in 1819 in VA. I am sure he was
married abouth 1840-1843 in Jackson County, AL to Elizabeth Jane (Betty)
Collins. That county has no marriage records prior to 1850 but all my Collins
data leads to that county. They moved to Johnson County, AR about 1847-1848.
From there he moved to Delta County, TX after Elizabeth died in 1879. I
found him in the 1889 census for Delta County but nothing since. Theire
Children were: Eliza, George, Sara(Sally), Benjamin, Andrew, Pleasant,
Mary Jane, Margaret, Susan, George, and Orpha.

2 1997 Maj. George Douglas settled in Johnson County after the
Civil War. He married Lucy A. Newton and they had two children, Lula Lee
and William G. Ft. Douglas was named after Maj. Douglas. He was murdered
on 26 Apr 1882 in his home. Any information about this family, especially
the children would be greatly appreciated.

I am seeking info on descendants of John PARKER, b. 1820, ClayCo, Ky,
wife Eliza CLEVENGER, b. 1823, Lawrence Co, Ky; Children: Sarah, b. 1841;
James, b. 1844; Anna, b. 1848; Martha, b. 1850; Leander, b. 1856; John
and Miniard (twins), b. 12-20-1858. All children b. Lawrence Co, Ky. John
and his family moved from Lawrence Co, Ky. to Arkansas in the mid 1870's.
They went first to Johnson Co, Ar. for a few years where John operated
a ferry boat on the Arkansas River. They later moved to Madison Co, Ar.
where John died in 1893. I have been told that both John and Eliza are
buried in the Bolinger Cemetary located south of Kingston, Ar. Leander
(Lee) and Miniard are both listed in the 1900 census of Madison Co. Any
information of the descendants of John and Eliza PARKER will be greatly
appreciated. I will answer all responses and will share information. Thanks.

later found in Massac County IL 1870 and Pope County, IL 1880. He divorced
his first wife, Nancy Thomason Butler, in Massac Co., IL in 1869. Nancy
& two sons moved to Dallas County, AR and later to Hot Spring Co. Looking
for any info on Coleman Butler.

Richard Grantham arrived about 1832, married Araminta Glass in Pope County

were in Bond Co., IL, in the 1850 Census and in Johnson County the 1860
Census. Sone of the family showed up in Hunt Co., TX in 1862 but others

1882 and the death of Mary E. in 1894. Widower, B.D. (BARON De KALB) HICKEY,
married Mrs. MARGARET F. MILLER, 3 Oct 1883, in Montgomery Co., AR. Need
maiden name of MARGARET MILLER, conclusion of marriage to B.D. Hickey,
and death date and burial place of MARGARET. Margaret and large family
are found listed in the 1880 MONTGOMERY CO., AR Census. Another marriage

For the last seven+ years I have been trying to locate the parents
of Wiley "Yank" WILLIAMS b 16 Oct 1836 in Tipton Co., TN served in the
Civil War while living in Newton Co., AR and died 9 September 1898 in Johnson
Co., AR. He is said to be buried in the Coleman Cemetery near the town
of Pelsor. His 1st wife was Mary Jane WROTEN, I have no dob for her her
dod 8 Apr 1889, Johnson Co., AR. I have no other information on her except
a note found in a journal stating her mother was Sarah ANDERSON. Wiley
& Mary Jane lived in the town of Jasper, Newton Co., during the Civil

I'm trying to find out how SARAH ELIZABETH (LETHGO) DUKES died, when
and where. Family History states that she was killed by Cuartville Raiders
(Quantrille?), probably in Johnson County, between 1869-1877. Some family
members say that it was her husband, RANSOM DUKES, who was killed by marauders.
Their children, JAMES ISOM, MARTHA JO, JOSEPH, FANNY, WILLIAM MAJOR, and
MARY ELIZABETH went to Franklin County to live with SARAHS' parents, JAMES
and MARY ANN LETHGO. RANSOMS' parents were MAJOR and ELIZABETH (MCLAIN)

Am looking for as much info on the HUTSON, HUDDLESTON genealogy. Many
of the HUTSONs settled in Van Buren County, city of Clinton. The Hutson's
also married into the MARTIN family. Do not know much more than that. Where
did HUTSONS migrate from specifically? I believe it to be Tennessee. Not

Co. in 1884. Her sons, Biza Franklin and Cornelius eventually moved to
Crawford Co. They also lived in Logan, Pope. Sylvanus, Calvin and J.R.
Evans were brother of Harriett's and were born in Mississippi 1827-1852
